I’m a graphic designer, web designer, and design educator based in the Washington, D.C. area.
I teach in the graphic design program at American University as an adjunct, offering classes that integrate graphic design principles, functionality, art, code and form. I’m interested in process-based learning, and in encouraging creativity and exploration.

She was really understanding, spirited and would explain thoroughly any questions that students had in class.
She created a great learning environment, made learning the new material very easy and made it fun to learn how to code.
She was very knowledgeable about the course material. She was also very supportive and gave great critiques of students’ work.
Professor Sekellick taught with much passion and showed us outside examples of all the new tools and content we are learning. This is very helpful because we can see how it is being utilized outside of a classroom.
